2011/2012 – Active Kids Challenge

In 2011 Physical Activity Foundation and the Take 5 Plus 2 Team invited school children to undertake the Active Kids Challenge!

The Challenge was a great success! The Take 5 Plus Team challenged kids to eat healthy. On a daily basis the team represent the Government message “Go for 2 and 5″ – that’s 2 serves of fruit and 5 serves of vegetables daily.

Fruit and Vege Pledge

The Physical Activity Foundation embraced the Take5plus2team last year in their “Go for 2&5” programme, (eating 2 portions of fruit and 5 of vegetables) The programme was well received, so this years programme is going to be bigger than ever.

This year the active kids challenge has put together the “Fruit and Vege Pledge” a programme where kids will take home valuable information to parents and eat healthy for a week, and the team are all over it!

Posh Pear and Busy Broccoli (the hip hop dancer) will be visiting schools as part of the promotion.

Sue Marriage, CEO of the foundation had 26,000 kids on board last year .
